Software license
Last updated: June 2026
This is the license for the Wazzly software — the WhatsApp CRM built and sold by ZeltenLabs. The whole idea behind Wazzly is simple: pay once, reply forever. You buy a license, you run the software, and it stays yours. No seat-by-seat subscription, no meter ticking on your conversations.
This page explains what your one-time license actually grants you, what you may do with the software and its source, and the few things you may not. In this license, "we", "us" and "ZeltenLabs" mean the company that makes Wazzly. "Wazzly" means the software product, including its source code, builds, and documentation. "You" means the person or business that buys the license.
The short version
- Buy once, and your license to run that version is perpetual.
- Higher plans unlock the full source — modify and extend it freely.
- Self-host and white-label, on your own servers, under your own brand.
- Updates for life: keep pulling new releases at no extra charge.
- Don't resell or redistribute the source — unless you hold an Agency license.
What a one-time license grants you
When you buy Wazzly, you receive a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use it under the terms below. The exact rights depend on which plan you bought.
Solo — cloud-hosted use
The Solo plan grants one business the right to use a ZeltenLabs cloud-hosted instance of Wazzly to run its own WhatsApp CRM. Under Solo:
- You may use the hosted application to manage your own contacts, conversations, and team.
- You receive the application as a running service — Solo does not include the source code.
- The license covers your own business use, not reselling access to others.
Solo is the simplest way to pay once and start replying. If you later want the source and the right to self-host, you can upgrade to a Self-hosted or Agency license.
Self-hosted — full source on your servers
The Self-hosted plan is where Wazzly becomes truly yours. A single Self-hosted license grants one business the right to:
- Receive the full source code of Wazzly and deploy it on infrastructure you control — your server, your cloud account, your hardware.
- Modify and extend the source for your own use: change behavior, add features, integrate it with your other systems.
- White-label the application — replace our branding with your own name, logo, and colors for your own business.
- Receive updates for life for the major version line you purchased, at no additional charge.
A Self-hosted license is for running one branded Wazzly deployment for your own business. It does not include the right to resell the software, run it as a multi-tenant service for unrelated third parties, or redistribute the source. For that, you need an Agency license.
Agency — reseller and multi-tenant rights
The Agency plan is built for studios, consultancies, and resellers who want to deliver Wazzly to their own clients. An Agency license includes everything in Self-hosted, and adds the right to:
- Deploy for clients — stand up branded Wazzly instances on behalf of the businesses you serve.
- Run multi-tenant deployments — operate Wazzly as a service for multiple separate customers from your own infrastructure.
- Resell access to the Wazzly application you deploy, under your own brand and your own pricing.
Even under Agency, you may not redistribute the raw Wazzly source code as a competing product or sell it as source. Your right is to deliver and operate the software for clients, not to hand off the source itself.
What you may do
- Self-host Wazzly on your own infrastructure (Self-hosted and Agency plans).
- Modify and extend the source to fit your business (Self-hosted and Agency plans).
- White-label and rebrand the application as your own (Self-hosted and Agency plans).
- Deploy for clients and resell access under your brand (Agency plan).
- Pull updates for the version line you bought, for life.
What you may not do
- Resell or redistribute the source code of Wazzly, in whole or in part, unless you hold an Agency license — and even then, only as a deployed service, not as raw source.
- Repackage Wazzly's source as a competing product or publish it publicly.
- Remove or hide license, copyright, or attribution notices in the source itself (your end-user-facing branding may of course be your own).
- Share your license keys or downloads with parties that don't hold their own license.
Updates for life
Your one-time payment includes free updates for the major version line you purchased. As long as we ship fixes and improvements to that line, you're entitled to download and run them at no extra cost. A future major version may be offered as a separate purchase or upgrade, but your existing license to the version you bought never expires.
Ownership
Buying a license grants you the rights described above — it does not transfer ownership of Wazzly. ZeltenLabs retains all intellectual property rights in the original software, its source code, and its trademarks. Any modifications and extensions you write on top of Wazzly belong to you, but the underlying Wazzly source remains ours.
No warranty
Wazzly is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We work hard to make it solid, but you're responsible for testing it for your own use, securing your own deployment, and complying with WhatsApp's and Meta's terms when you connect a number.
Termination
This license continues for as long as you comply with its terms. If you materially breach it — for example by redistributing the source without an Agency license — we may terminate the license, after which you must stop using and distributing the affected software.
Changes to this license
We may update the terms of this license for future purchases. The terms you agreed to at the time of your purchase continue to govern that license. When we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
Needs legal review
This document is a plain-language summary written to explain how Wazzly licensing is intended to work. It is a draft and is not yet legal advice or a final contract. The binding terms are the source-code license that ships with your purchase, and both should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
