Privacy policy

Last updated: June 2026

Wazzly is a WhatsApp CRM built and sold by ZeltenLabs. You pay once and run it forever — and how you run it shapes what we ever see. This page explains, in plain language, what data exists, where it lives, and what we do (and don't do) with it.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "ZeltenLabs" mean the company that makes Wazzly. "Wazzly" means the software product. "You" means the person or business that buys, deploys, or uses it.

The short version

  • We collect the minimum we need to sell you a license and support it.
  • If you self-host, your customers' messages stay on your servers — they never reach us.
  • We don't sell your data, and we don't mine your conversations.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, and to delete it.

What data we collect

When you buy or use Wazzly directly from us, we may collect:

  • Account info — your name, business name, email address, and any login credentials you create on our website or license portal.
  • Billing details — what you purchased, your invoice and VAT details, and a payment reference. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store the full card.
  • Usage and diagnostics — basic, mostly anonymized signals like license activation events, the version you're running, and error reports you choose to send us when something breaks.
  • Support correspondence — the emails, messages, and attachments you send us when you ask for help.

How we use it

We use the data above to:

  • Deliver your license, downloads, and updates.
  • Process payments and keep proper financial records.
  • Answer your questions and fix bugs you report.
  • Understand which features and versions are in use so we can improve Wazzly.
  • Send you essential service notices (and only marketing email if you opted in).

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we don't read your customers' conversations.

WhatsApp and Meta data

Wazzly connects to WhatsApp through Meta's official APIs. When you link a number, message content, contact phone numbers, and related metadata flow between WhatsApp and your Wazzly instance. Your use of WhatsApp is also governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policy, which sit outside our control.

We handle any WhatsApp data only as needed to make the integration work, and in line with the WhatsApp Business platform requirements. We do not repurpose that data for unrelated uses.

If you self-host

This is the part that makes Wazzly different. When you run Wazzly on your own infrastructure — your server, your cloud account, your hardware — your message data stays on YOUR infrastructure and never reaches ZeltenLabs. Conversations, contacts, notes, and attachments live where you put them.

In a self-hosted setup, you are the data controller for that content. We may still see the limited account and billing data tied to your license, plus any diagnostics you actively choose to share with us — but not your customers' chats.

Third parties we rely on

To run our business, we use a small set of trusted providers, such as:

  • A payment processor to take payments and issue invoices.
  • Email and support tools to reach you and track your tickets.
  • Hosting and analytics for our marketing website and license portal.
  • Meta / WhatsApp for the messaging integration itself.

Each of these only receives what they need to do their job. We don't sell your personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep account and billing records for as long as you hold a license and for as long afterward as the law requires us to keep financial records. Support messages and diagnostics are kept only as long as they're useful, then deleted or anonymized.

Your rights and data requests

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us and we'll respond within a reasonable time. For data that lives only on your self-hosted instance, you control it directly — we can't access it for you.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your account and billing information safe. If you self-host, securing your own deployment — servers, backups, and access — is your responsibility.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Wazzly evolves. When we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know directly.
